More glass after the rebuild
New elevated homes often have twice the glass of what stood there before. Film controls the extra solar heat that comes with it.
South Pinellas · Pinellas County
Beachfront condos, Sunset Beach homes and the finger isles off Boca Ciega Bay — window film for an island that's still rebuilding with new glass.
Treasure Island at a glance
H2O Window Tinting installs window film in Treasure Island, FL, including Gulf-front condominiums, Sunset Beach homes, and canal-front properties on Isle of Capri, Paradise Island, Capri Isle and Treasure Island Causeway's finger isles. Many homes here were rebuilt after Hurricane Helene with new impact glass; we select films compatible with that glass to cut heat, glare and UV.
Treasure Island
Treasure Island took some of the worst storm surge in Pinellas County during Hurricane Helene in 2024, and much of the island has been rebuilding ever since. That rebuild has changed the housing stock fast: older ground-level homes are giving way to elevated new construction with large impact windows and doors.
Whether it's a Gulf-front condo on the beach, a home on Sunset Beach at the south end, or a canal home on one of the isles off the causeway, the common thread is the same — big glass, bright water and strong sun on at least one side of the house.
Neighborhoods we cover
The property
Gulf-front condos and motels line the beach side, with west-facing units taking the full afternoon sun. Sunset Beach at the south end is a mix of homes facing the Gulf and Blind Pass.
The isles on the bay side — Isle of Capri, Paradise Island, Capri Isle and the finger isles along the causeway — are canal-front homes with docks and rear glass facing the water. Many of these have been raised and rebuilt with new impact windows, often with much larger openings than the homes they replaced.
What we solve
New elevated homes often have twice the glass of what stood there before. Film controls the extra solar heat that comes with it.
Water on every side means reflected glare into living areas and on screens. Film reduces it without blocking the view.
After a rebuild, new floors and furnishings should last. Film blocks nearly all UV to slow fading.
Raised homes sit higher and more visible from the street and canal. Light reflective films add daytime privacy.
What we recommend
Businesses
Treasure Island's beachfront motels, restaurants and shops near John's Pass and along Gulf Boulevard have been reopening with renovated interiors. Film keeps window-side seating comfortable, cuts glare for staff and guests, and protects new furnishings. We schedule commercial work to keep businesses open.
Before you install
Most rebuilds here use laminated impact glass. We confirm the glass and the window manufacturer's terms and choose a compatible film.
If you're finishing a rebuild, film goes on once windows are installed and the dusty work is done — ideally before furniture moves in. We can plan around your contractor's schedule.
Beachfront condos often regulate exterior appearance. We provide film data sheets for board approval when needed.
